DISPOSE OF UNUSED MEDICATIONS

Drug Collection Units are intended to reduce the amount of unneeded medicine in residents’ homes and decrease prescription drug abuse, which has soared in recent years, especially among teenagers.  More than 70 percent of teenagers say it is easy to get prescription drugs from their parents’ medicine cabinets, according to a 2014 Partnership for Drug-Free Kids study.

Need to get rid of your unused and/or expired medications? Below is a list of Drug Take-Back services in northwestern Virginia. It is important to properly dispose of your unused and/or expired medications, for the safety of your family and friends, and your own peace of mind. These locations accept medications with no questions asked.
